How to replace your demo request form with an AI demo.
“Book a demo” is the most important button on most B2B websites, and it rarely gives the buyer a demo. It gives them a form, then a wait. Here is how to replace it with a demo they can take straight away, without losing the meeting at the end.

Why the form is the wrong last step
Look at what “Book a demo” actually does. The buyer fills in a form. Someone qualifies them. A calendar opens, or a rep emails. The demo happens days later, if it happens at all.
The numbers show the cost. In Chili Piper's 2026 Web Conversion Benchmark of 2,931,118 form submissions, mid market companies booked 36 of every 100 form submissions, and 38% of qualified submissions never booked. Those were buyers who asked for a demo.
And buyers increasingly want to see for themselves first: 67% of B2B buyers prefer a rep free experience, according to Gartner's survey of 646 buyers.
Your three options
- A faster calendar. Scheduling and routing tools put a calendar on the screen straight after the form. It shortens the wait to the meeting, but the buyer still has to wait to see the product.
- An interactive tour. A recorded click through of your product, open to anyone. The buyer sees screens at once, but the tour cannot answer a question or show anything that was not captured.
- An AI demo. An AI that talks with the buyer, shows them your product, answers their questions and books the meeting with sales afterwards. This is the only option that gives the buyer a demo at the moment they click “Book a demo”.
Not every AI demo agent shows the real product. Some play slides, screenshots or a prepared sample account. We ran the same test on nine of them: see AI demo agents compared.
How to roll it out, step by step
1. Start with the page where intent is highest
Your pricing page and your current “Book a demo” page are where buyers are closest to a decision. Start there, and leave the rest of the site as it is for now.
2. Decide what the buyer gives you first
An email or a social media profile is a fair exchange for a live demo, and it means your team knows who they are talking to. Keep it to one field. Every extra field costs you buyers.
3. Decide what the AI shows
The strongest demos start with a short framing, your deck, then move into the product and follow the buyer's questions. Agree the story you want told, the proof you want used, and the questions you want asked. That is the brief the AI works from.
4. Decide the handover
Decide when the AI books a meeting, which rep gets it, and what they receive. A good handover gives the rep what the buyer saw, what they asked and what they pushed back on, so the meeting starts where the demo ended.
5. Run it side by side, then measure
Keep the form running for some of your traffic and send the rest to the AI demo. Compare four numbers: buyers who started a conversation, buyers who saw the product, meetings booked, and pipeline from those meetings.
How to test an AI demo before you buy
Run the same five checks on any vendor's own demo:
- Ask it to show you the product. Does it open the product, or describe it?
- Ask it to click something on the screen, by name.
- Interrupt it, and ask it to go back.
- Ask for something it has not shown you.
- Ask what happens next. Does it book the meeting, and does it know what you asked?
A pass is the action happening on screen, not the AI saying it will.
What that looks like with Verspa
Verspa replaces the demo request form with the AI buyer aware demo. The buyer clicks once, and Verspa presents your deck, opens your real product, answers their questions and handles objections in the same conversation. When it ends, Verspa writes the recap, the CRM note and the follow up from what the buyer said, and books the meeting with your sales team. Every buyer gets a person first memory that follows them when they change jobs.
It runs on your website as the web chat, on campaign landing pages, and behind any link in an email, an ad or a partner campaign. It is £999 a month per workspace, with 40,000 credits and the first two desks, and every rate is on the pricing page.
